India has done it again. No longer cryptic but out in the open the shameful ineptitude of the Government. You see, the common wealth garnered by the ministers who pass the tenders allocating responsibility to private companies has led to the debacle of the Commonwealth arrangements.
Palaver will follow now to appease the less cynical amongst us. Not only is there complete and stubborn silence explaining to the Indian just why one catastrophe follows another in the arrangements of the CW, but Sheila Dixit the oft elected CM of Delhi was heard on National Television saying things to the effect ‘ Things happen but yeh aapka desh hai.. aap kyun burra bhala bol rahe hain;!! It alarmed me. Her versimilitude speech made me realise once and for all that we are dealing with those who choose to believe that things such as this ‘happen’ No they dont.. if one is less corrupt and more vigilant.
It is clear as day for those who wish to see that disasters of the kind wait to to happen only because the contractors have bribed their way through the tiers from top to bottom. He knows he is safe since he knows too much. Any finger pointing at him would mean the threat of exposing just all of the Powers who be who are in the fray with him. Therefore he can snore away in complete tranquility, perhaps by now accustomed to the sporadic uproar which will finally die down.
Meanwhile he along with his coterie both within and without the ministry will have made a few thousand millions and will meet soon to discuss the next project . Iss hamam mein sabhi nange hain.
Dont expect patriotism from us or laxity and tolerance, a Nelsons eye or compassion for lapses such as these which show us in such poor light in the world arena. Especially not if we know and are convinced that it is corruption, poor quality of workmanship and rampant cheating that has led to this. On the one hand we are burdened by taxes repeatedly on items, on income on property, on a meal out with family for NOTHING in return of any value . And now you expect us to take up for you while you hide behind mass approval to go on a rampage!! Mon Dieu!! You ask for too much Ms. Dixit!!
The world is aghast at the ‘cesspool’ of Indian politics. BTw how many know that the games have a cesspool as its foundation. Ironic and indicative strangely of the muck we live in.
” a number of high profile athletes announced their withdrawal from the Games, including English Olympic 400m gold medallist Christine Ohuruogu and world triple jump champion Phillips Idowu.
Their decisions came after complaints by some teams about the state of the athletes’ village, safety fears due to the collapse of a footbridge near one of the venues and question marks over security after a gun attack on tourists.”
Its not surprising. Who would want to risk their lives. comforts and ability for such a warped affair.
Not wanting to post pictures of the kind on my home page since it brings my lunch up ..am providing the link that leaves all Indians ashamed. Quite accustomed to seeing this in all parts of the country , somehow to see that this is what is being circulated the world over is hugely embarassing. Come to think of it , a Governement which has been unsuccesful in keeping its country clean, to then have a Games village spic and span would be hypocritical even if desirable. But old habits die hard..hum to aise hi hain say the Ministers.
Watch:
Well said Kaveetaa.. The anger in the common man is apparent now. We have to suffer fools who think they are making a fool of us. What irony!

Krishnan. The least one would have expected is a transparency of kinds. Why was not the contractor exposed and brought to book openly. Why is there no statement about penalties and action taken against him and the others who have caused such unmitigated disaster? But of course, that is not going to happen.

Long time no see.. anyways.. der aaye durust aaye. You must see the NDTV programme on the excuses these jokers are making. One of the guys said that the rooms may not be as clean because we and them have different standards of cleanliness. can u believe that?

🙂 Gawd!! You can grant them some brownie points for coming up with these howlers. Gandhiji used to say that toilets should be kept so clean that one could perhaps have a meal in there. The situation presently is that we are made to feel thankful that toilets Exist!! cleanliness ?..who’s bothered.
