For some of us in Mumbai..the holocaust hasn’t ended. I mean.. being unable to reach your very own blog is nothing short of catastrophic..a soul check..essential and recommended. The point is that some isp operator in Mumbai has for reasons, presently unknown, decided to give his operations a bad name..Or how else does one explain that we are unable to access blogger sites?
It happened some time yesterday. It took me a while to register since a replay of last week was almost unimaginable. But why do we forget that its India and Indians we are dealing with..everything goes..kucchh bhi ho sakta hai biddu.
My blog at wordpress has been ready for some time. Why dont I switch then..right? Frankly, I dont know what it is I am waiting for. Just goes to prove what creatures of habit we are..any wonder then that ‘saas bahu’ sagas defeat logistics of rational kind in their viewership patterns..endlessly!
(sigh) so back to square one till some senior guy receives a lashing of some kind or whatever..but dont worry .Im here and around:)
Update: Just got off the phone with an offical of Incable..The Ban Is On..with clear instructions from DoT to block Blogger..I dont believe this!!
So here we are a bunch of morons puppets on a string at the mercy of DoT. First they impose a ban, get us all roused up, rebelling, vociferously commenting, and creating an uproar. Then as if backing off, they lift the ban, and all is well. But yesterday within a week of the lift Incable responds to the DoT directive and openly announces that blogger has been blocked. .In other words, without assigning cause, logic, rationale or reason, they atempt to stifle our voices yet again. And whay is expected of us now?? some more rabble rousing, media interviews and denouncings?? To who? Autocrats and despots??
Yesterday, in an effort to garner information if other bloggers had been effected, had written of it on Indianpad. Its just Incable ,so far.
hehehehe..at times like these I never miss being in India.it is QUITE ridiculous..really..How can they just ban now?

Ck,
Its only incable which is following the directive.. which is what i said in the post.. it is totally incredulous this selective isp bannings..Why is only incable adhering to it? Why has it not been sent to other isp’s or has it been sent and they are not responding? Can we expect honest responses? Even to make a comment I have to via a proxy server. Tho it does not really affect blog activity.. the WHY for petes sake are they even bothering?
One hates to have to rant about the system.. it seems so futile puerile and imbecilic really.. coz we dont know whether they are interested in listening..but lumping it is not an option either.

I bet InCable is responding to the original letter and they’re just slow. They’re that lame. I know, they’re my ISP.

Lol..anonymous.. I know what you mean. but specifically, I was told that the communication was received yesterday.. and that is when the blocking occurred. It was functioning ok the last week or so.
What is surprising is..why only incable? who are the owners?
