Its not often that one gets to see two moms snarl at each other , in full media glare.
( Nevertheless, it served as inspiration for deep poetry, pregnant with wisdom, epitome of creativity..nosh farmaiye.. in comments section)
For the details first :Apparently Yuvraj Singh the cricketer, had on 12th Dec 06 hosted a birthday bash which ended in a brawl.
Yuvraj Singh and his namesake Yuvraj Mahajan, allegedly fought over a girl..sigh..so whats new! The latter blames the former of making a pass at his girlfriend, which led to the latter ending up beaten black and blue by Yuvraj ‘crickis’ (cricketers) bodyguards.
Shabnam Singhs ( crickis mother) version:
Since he ( Mahajan) was totally drunk, they tried to forcibly put him inside the taxi. It was then that Mahajan became violent and started beating up Yuvi and his friends. At 2.30 am, we decided to call the police, and intimate them of the incident.
Huh?? If he was drunk could he have had the..er..balance to have gotten ‘violent and started beating up’ a gang of boyz of Yuvraj Singhs variety?? Sounds…phony!!
What a lot of muck hubris entails. It was difficult to sift out the logic from bilge when the two Moms were featured on Headlines Today.. a tv channel cashing in on the ongoing war ( they have already beamed it more than a coupla times) One mom was in the studio (Mahajan) while the other on video conferencing (Singh) and the sob opera took off!!
Whats astonishing is that while the Moms seemed to have taken it on themselves to fight the war on behalf of their strapping sons, the boyz were busy playing truant.
To cut to the chase, Neelam Mahajan has received a court order directing Yuvraj Singh and his mother Shabnam to appear in court after he had defaulted appearing for the seventh time allegedly. She sure means business.
While its almost impossible to get to the bottom of the whole affair , what seems abundantly clear is that the Mahajan boy was beaten up and not the other way around. For one, he was in alien territory, replete with bodyguards and friends of Crick. second the party comprised of Crickis friends, where he might have been isolated and threatened easily. ..no big deal for the Singh family. The Mahajan Mom pointed out the history of the Singh family in no uncertain terms. Yuvraj Singhs father, she alleged had been to prison thrice and was involved in the Jessical Lall murder case..dont ask me how? I have no clue..but this was not challenged by Shabnam Singh, Yuvrajs mom, so the benefit of the doubt does go in Mahajans favour.
What was disturbing was the fact that while the Channel seemed to obviously take sides and their slant seemed ever so lightly tipped in the cricketers favour, Neelam Mahajan, conducted herself with immaturity, and almost lost out on the sympathy vote. She should have permitted the facts to speak for themselves..but aggression and petulance is a strangely unflattering combination.
She had brought along her lawyer who fared lil better than one of the wax statues at Tussauds..since he managed to smile at the end. Amusingly, the ‘end’ comprised of Neelam Mahajan stomping off the set, but not before she personally removed the lapel mike from her lawyer. thus ensuring that he voices nothing!! What a spectacle!!
Where were the men..both the fathers and sons?? Id hate to say this but ‘chudiyaan pehenkar ghar mein baithna’ was not recommended nor advisable. They ought to have been besides their women,,if at all this matter had to be made into such a rollicking ‘tamasha’.
Honestly dear ladies, please grow up and show some class!! While one can conjecture that there must have been a fair amount of hurt, humiliation on both sides, but this purposeless venting on National tv mirrors immaturity. Nobody would help, can help or should help. If the matter is sub judice, then let it remain so. Nothing was gained, instead credibility lost.. especially Yuvraj Singh and his family since he had more at stake.
To be a celebrity encompasses ability to handle status responsibly and with dignity!

If the guy Yuvraj singh had bodyguards and all that crap its impossible to imagine that in a a party surrounded by his friends some mahajan guy would have the guts to beat him up.The mothers should have tried to hush up the matter amicably instead of bringing it to media attention. Yuvraj singh is getting more n more notorious for his temper so its not difficult to imagine the truth.

Reality check? Most certainly.. but even if we were to consider the abnormality of the circumstances and the anxiety both the moms might have been subjected to, yet it was prudent to exercise a control in speech.
What is also apparent here is a ‘laadla beta’ syndrome and a hint of ‘spolit kids creating a furore while doting parents watch on understandingly”..it ends up with kids first of all not shouldering the responsibility of their actions while reflecting on inept upbringing.

dont know yuvraj the cricketer to comment on that but sure know neelam mahajan singh and her son to tell you they are extortionists in white garb. it is their business to fleece others of their money by making false accusations and this i can tell you by experience. typical people who have no normal sense of decency try and flaunt their political connections and squeeze people out of their money. run a google search on neelam mahajan singh and you will know she is in the business of extortion.

Being a senior member of the media, I feel you are completely bereft of the facts and the gossip style used by you favouring the two accused in the court of law, Yuvraj Singh, Shabnam Singh and others, is not fair for media information and disimation. Dear Sir/Madam,U should fight for justice. Please ask your blog readers,that if their mother,daughter, son or family is beaten red and blue,will they let go the attacker. Yuvraj Singh and his associates did that with my son and then me. I had gotten made a very beautiful bouquet,a gift of silver bat-ball for Yuvraj Singh on his birthday,plus a card from my side. I had wished him on the phone. Why Ashish Nehra, Ajay Jadeja,Vijay Dahia,Angad Bedi,who studied with my son in St.Stephen,s College,all former cricket players did not intervene. Siddhartha my son was popular as many of his lady class mates and friends were there in that drug-liquor and banned substance party,which was surely not known to us. When my son wanted to leave and a few girls asked him to drop them that is when the rougue friends of the accused cricketer broke the remote key of my car,eight of them beat up my son and tortured him.I think it was his duty to protect the honour of a few girls who were being disgraced!I value girls as my own daughters and I am happy my son defended a few girls who were trapped by Yuvraj Singh and his criminal gang. So,this is the victory of truth-Satyamev Jayte. The Gurgaon District and Sesions Court has dismissed the applications of the accused number one cricketer,Yuvraj Singh seeking personal exemption from the court.He has been directed to appear on 24th March,2008.
2. Yuvraj Singh’s accusation of Contempt of Court on Neelam Mahajan Singh has been found to be frivolous and baseless, and the same has been dismissed.
3.Sodhi(son of an MLA of Punjab) and Ranjit Bajaj,son of Rupan Deaol Bajaj,IAS-Retired and B.R.Bajaj,IAS,- Principal Secretary,Govt.of Punjab have been made accused in the case alongwith Yuvraj Singh and his mother Shabnam Singh in the criminal assault on me and my son Yuvraj Siddhartha.
4.Hon’ble Ist Class Magistrate Mrs. Ranjana Aggarwal has passed this order.The earlier Ist class magistrate was Mrs.Raj Rani Gupta.The Additional District and Sessions Judge admitted the revision filed by me, and has issued summons to Ranjeet Bajaj and Sodhi.

this yuvrej singh is a coward person .
in the cricket field also , one should have seen his coward face when the batsman hit 5 sixes on his loser bowling.
since then he fears to ball . [smiles ]
secondly surronded by the bodyguards , that was nothing much .
see the history of these people . perhaps he is a panjabi bhapa or some obc .
anyways I consider that crap as a coward .
he fears to do bowling now .
and that crap is going into films as most of his bhapas have joined films.
