Why are you crying, a young boy asked his Mom?
“Because I’m a woman,” she told him.
“I don’t understand,” he said.
His Mom just hugged him and said,
“And you never will, but that’s O.K.”…….
Later the little boy asked his father,
“Why does Mom seem to cry for no reason?”.
“All women cry for no reason,” was all his Dad could say……
The little boy grew up and became a man,
still wondering why women cry.
Finally he put in a call to God and when God got back to him, he asked “God, why do women cry so easily?”
GOD answered……
“When I made woman,
I decided she had to be special.
I made her shoulders
strong enough to carry
the weight of the world, yet,
made her arms gentle enough to give comfort…
I gave her the inner strength
to endure childbirth
and the rejection
that many times will come
even from her own children.
I gave her a hardness
that allows her
to keep going and take care
of her family and friends,
even when everyone else gives up, through sickness and fatigue without
complaining….
I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all
circumstances. Even when her child has hurt her badly….
She has the very special power to make a child’s boo-boo feel better and
to quell a teenager’s anxieties and fears….
I gave her strength to care for her husband, despite faults
and I fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart….
I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but
sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him
unfalteringly….
For all of this hard work,
I also gave her a tear to shed.
It is hers to use
whenever needed and !
it is her only weakness….
When you see her cry,
tell her how much you love her, and all she does for everyone, and even though
she may still cry, you will have made her heart feel good.
She is special!
Please send this to women you know, and those with mothers,
sisters, and special women in their lives.
But, also send this to men so they will understand about what a
wonderful thing a woman is.
Each day is a mountain that must be climbed; with courage each step
gets easier.
Love your Mother Always
and keep her Smiling
Anon
I was lucky to have shed my quota of tears this morning ! Nothing is more fulfilling than warm slobbery, hugs and kisses, and cute Thank you notes…Ohh ! It makes me want to cry all over again..
Happy Mothers Day to all.

Hi Kaveetaa..Happy mothers day. I’ve never given my mom a present just a card all these years. This year i decided to give her something or actually forced her into something. I got her a membership in the Gym. She used to be quite slim abut lately has just let herself go. I used to get very irritated when I saw her just not doing anything about her weight. Its not as if she is fat or anything but definitely she needs to tone up. So now that I have put my money , hard earned i told her she better not waste it. Shes promised ..lets see. And really liked the story you posted. I made Mom read it and sent an email to my friend as well.

Happy Mothers day!!
I have always had a strong resistance to these ‘acquired’ days like valentine etc. But this day I feel is much needed and should be celebrated.
Keeping in mind the rather pathetic state of children -parents relationships these days, this becomes a reason to remember the love of ones mother. My wife and mother both receive gifts from me. Dont misunderstand about wife….its because my children are still too young to go and bring one for their mother. I think I have to thank her for the gift of my children.

this mail has orbited the email domains and come back from different quarters ๐ nonetheless it has never really made things look different for me… as in its a personal opinion… and i have wondered, rather, how can people not know all these n more so even with all the alerts.. we still have the over flowing old age homes n abuse of woman-kind (pun intended!)
my maa while talking to me yesterday complained that i hadnt wished her.. there was a rather sweet ‘moist feeling of hurt’ in her voice.. and u won know it felt like a kiddo to hear that.. u can say i din simply was like waiting for it… told her that these aint labels aint for us to advertise n all (ya, u mite say… oh god!) but then, here also i had a purpose… i knew wat she wud say immediately… she said .. ‘ya,ya… remember this all year round !!:)’ the open hint towards feb 14 was like… blissful to hear :)) considerin all the fan fare of buyin gifts, packaging et all :))
i told her, ill remember.. and dunno whether i wud be caught in this web of emotional advertisement.. but i guess, i know what is asked n expected in the mamma-boy jugalbandhi… i have never managed to show.. as in, save for the b’day cardz.. which would be scribbled all over… i have never been able to really make sense of this exhilaration.. this bringing ‘alive’ of subtle emotionz.. maybe people do not value, they forget n also tend to walk away from the umbilicus.. but i only know as much.. i won do that.. even if i aint wish her, i know shez gonna always be the ‘first woman’ of mi life.. aint that gonna change n aint love gonna be divided ๐ she knows that too… and maybe that makes it all the more fun.. playing along :)) after all lovez alwayz not colour-less… but between mother n son… there is simply profoundness… intangible..
